ABOUT JVGC

The Japan-Vietnam Geoinformatics Consortium (JVGC) was founded in 2001 to develop and promote Geoinformatics applications and foster cooperation in application of Information and Communication Technologies to problems and issues related to our natural and social environment. To achieve these aims, the JVGC:
  • support capacity building through organization of symposia, workshops, seminars, and fieldworks.
  • share information resources and know-how in Geoinformatics
  • support the conduct and implementation of joint research and projects in Geoinformatics
  • promote exchange of information and academic publications
  • develop a human resource network to support development and growth of Geoinformatics

ABOUT HUMG
HUMG is the sole university in Vietnam specialized in fields of Geology, Mining, Geodesy, Petroleum, Information Technology. There are 7 Faculties covering all aspects concerning at the University: Faculty of General Education, Faculty of Mining, Faculty of Geology, Faculty of Surveying and Mapping, Faculty of Petroleum, Faculty of Economics and Business Management and Information Technology. Term of undergraduate study here is 5 years.
Post-graduate activity continues to expand in both course work and research. Research activity is expanding at state, ministerial and university level. This ongoing research is contributing to the national industrial development.There are at present about 10000 undergraduate and post-graduate students enrolls in various programs. Most of them are full-time students, but about 10% attend in - service courses or short courses, institutions involved in the university's programs.

Call for Sponsors, Exhibitors and Advertisers

The conference registration fee has been kept low to encourage widespread participation. This is important in particular for applicants from less well-endowed countries, private individuals and students. Special efforts will be made during the conference to foster technology transfer to developing countries especially in the Southeast Asian region.
